Helenite is a stone made from the volcanic ashes of mount St. Helen when it erupted. The ash is melted with glass, and this particular ash gives the stone a deep red color. The reason Helenite stones are so special even though they are made with glass and not the ashes alone, is because the material came from 20 miles inside the earth, which is quite astonishing.

This lovely creation just screams Vampire to me for some strange reason. And really there is nothing specific about it that makes it any different from an average ring, and most people probably see it that way, but to me it just looks extremely "vampiric". Perhaps it's the way it resembles a bat to some degree with the points and the wing-like shapes that surround the stone.
